I once climbed a mountain and met you at top
Where we danced with fairies and hopped along rocks.
I once had a castle and danced with you there
With dragons and knights and hardly a care.
I once held an ocean with fleets of fighting ships;
You attacked them with your navy and blew them all to bits.
But when the ashes and soot of war had settled,
A filthy film on the cool salt-sea,
All that remained were our smiling faces–
O, the days of you and me!
